  • I'm 27!!!!

    Good bye 26 and hello 27! This past year, I learned to appreciate the value of simplicity.

    Cherishing every single moment with family no matter how much or how little we have because everything, every moment we share, isbecause of the love and support we have for each other.

    Appreciating, loving, and being super proud of my being Filipino. I mean call me a FOB or whatever but I don't care. I love every bit of my culture, from our language to our food, to our cheesy movies, soap operas, music , etc. etc. There is so much beauty in being Pinoy ... I love it!

    Valuing true friends. I don't need a lot. As long as I have a few who have my back, friends that I can bare my heart and soul too, I'm set for life .... Quality vs. quantity diba?!?!

    I guess thats it. My bday yesterday was perfect, my family went as all out as they can for me. And yes, I finally got new wheels ......!!!!

    A 2 wheel at least!!! Many thanks to my school friends who finally made my dream of owning a back come true. My dad never wanted to buy us one when we were little, he said riding a bike would devirginize us so yeah ...

    I'm not a virgin anymore ... muahahha!!!!

  • Moving forward ....

    and looking ahead for what's in store, yesterday's Southern California, COUPLES FOR CHRIST sector assembly was a confirmation that everything will be ok. Aside from that it showed what a blessing this community is. I say blessing because as much as you reject this community, as much as you decide to go your own route, as much as you try to discover faith on your own, the Couples for Christ community will always be home, will always be a place where you will be received with open arms.

    So with that we move forward, to a future full of hope and most importantly one filled with love. We hurt because we love but we pick up the pieces and start anew because we continue to LOVE. Love for God, love for  family, and most importantly love for a community that has given me and many others so much. No split, no trial can ever change that.

    I move forward feeling blessed because I have a great God, an awesome family, and friends that will last me a lifetime most of which I discovered in this community. So peace be to all of you and I pray that you feel as blessed and as loved as I do.

    Lord, bless those who bless us in big and small ways. May we be a blessing to others as well.

  • All Saints

    Blessed are the pure in heart ... - Matthew 5:8

    If we do everything we do because of LOVE, we'll be pure in heart. I've realized that if everything I do is done because I love, whether it be preaching or building a business, raising my children or selling a product, leading a prayer meeting or counting money, I will have a pure heart.

    A saint is simply someone who realizes that he is a child of God and allows the truth to become the formative influence in his or her life. There is no truth more important than this one; to grasp it fully is to give ourselves the greatest opportunity to become saints . We see in the example of Jesus' life and ministry that He always stands firm in His knowledge that He is a Son of God and that being a son confers on Him a dignity so great that he knew God would vindicate His every action.

  • Big ups to the G-O-D

    My car got broken into.

    A 1994 Honda Accord station wagon. A rare type in my belief because let's face it, how often do you see Honda Accord station wagons on the road. My neighbors drive the fancier cars with big names like Mercedes, BMW, and Audi's. Heck, even my sisters car is more modern than mine but of all the cars to break into they chose my lovely little automobile. 

    When I observed that a break-in occured I was quite pissed at first. Registration papers and all that important car certifications were scattered everywhere. But then I started to laugh. The burglars main motive was to steal my radio. But surprise to them my radio does not work. HAH! Aside from that, they stole my sun glasses, the $5.00 one the I got for 4 bucks coz I bargained at downtown.

    This ordeal made me realize that God continues to have my back. I usually take forever to get my car cleaned. 2 days ago, I woke up and had this strong urge to clean my car. If I had not done that I would probably be crying right now. The car thieves would be saying HAH and I would be the one upset left with my broke radio and $5.00 sun glasses.

    I love you my sister, thanks for the laughs, the inside jokes, the teasing, the fights, the fashion commentaries, the "constructive" criticisms, and yeah for just being my driver, my cook, my cleaner, and when you let me my sometimes order taker. You are one of a kind. And to end I just wanna say MA-RI-MAR!!!!
